Oceans have no memory

When books of poetry fill, swagger dies
The muse sighs- thoughts in a standstill.
A laugh, a smile and then I show you,
Glimpses of dreams cast in china blue.

Walk with me by the sea,
As smoke blows away from mystery.
The oceans have no memory.
In the waves let’s our walled thoughts immerse,
And let the ocean churn up a china blue verse.

Every beautiful thing must slip into oblivion.
But to forget something-one must relive and remember.

Another lover falls to the universe
And the oceans have no memory
Except that of immersed verse,
Cast in china blue and reverie.

/*Ginsberg has a surprise reference  watch for it.*/

Let Mr.Wilson tell you about the water and memories

  4. Yes, every beautiful thing must slip into oblivion....but the memories definitely remain...and hopefully there are other beautiful things which follow.

  5. Maybe the sea is like a treasure chest... and maybe what we lost there will come back as a message in a bottle... maybe we have that sea inside.

  6. 'Oceans have no memory' is very relatable...
Memory is thought acknowledged...and ocean is but waves of thoughts that approach the earthly shores only to be acknowledged...

  22. I love this:
"As smoke blows away from mystery.
    The oceans have no memory."

    Also this:
"Every beautiful thing must slip into oblivion."

    I disagree with this, though:
"But to forget something-one must relive and remember."

Forgetting is a matter of replacing. Find something new to do, and you won't remember what you were doing before.

  26. Lovely. I like the repetition of "china blue". Maybe the things we are insecure about need to be relived until we feel can safely forget them...hmm..much to ponder about.

    1. It sort of always comes down to insecurities

  27. "Another lover falls to the universe
And the oceans have no memory"

This certainly exorcises the idea of being special. For there has been before, and there will continue to be, issues dear to life, which people try to claim as their very own

    A stunning write

    Much love...

    1. Yes. That calls for a sort of detached attachment because we aren't special yet human life is exceedingly special
